Can I visit the storage unit to drop my items off?

For security/staffing reasons we generally don’t allow customers to drop off items directly at our storage unit. However, in urgent cases or special situations we can make exceptions but an appointment is required.

Are there any prohibited items?

Yes ,we can’t accept dangerous goods, illegal items, perishable food, flammable items or anything that can leak. If you are not sure whether someting is allowed in our Storage Tokyo facility please send us an inquiry.

What items can I store?

You can store almost anything with us but most common items are suitcases, boxes, business inventory, furniture, sports equipment and more.

Can I store ski/snowboard equipment, surfboards, bicycles, etc?

Yes, we can store seasonal or bulky items like skis, snowboards and bicycles. Many of our Storage Tokyo customers want to travel around Japan after skiing/snowboarding, so we can store your equipment and then have it delivered to your hotel/residence or the airport.

Can I have my luggage delivered to a different location than the pick up location?

Yes, that is no problem.

Do you offer airport pickup or delivery for stored items?

Yes, we can arrange pickup and delivery of your suitcase to and from major airports such as Narita and Haneda.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Booking a few weeks in advance is ideal but we can accommodate same-day or rush orders. However, there will be an additional fee for last minute bookings.

Can you deliver my items internationally?

Yes, we can help to arrange international shipping from our storage units.

I am currently not in Japan can I use your services?

Yes, that is no problem. Many of our customers are abroad and use our Storage Tokyo service to receive, store and deliver their items in Japan or internationally. An example of this are people buying Akiyas in Japan. They ship their furniture, tools, belongings to us and we then store everything for them and deliver it to them once they arrive in Japan. Another example is international customers buying products in Japan, having them sent and store with us and then finally shipped to them abroad.

Am I able to use your storage service without Japanese identification / residency?

Yes, our storage service is open to everyone including tourists, students and businesses abroad. We strive to make the whole storage process simple and straight forward our customers.

Are there any hidden fees?

No, we keep the pricing transparent. Any additional fees such as special handling, storage extension, after-hours deliveries will be clearly explained to you in advance. All our quotes are based off the information and photos provided by the customer so an accurate description is essential for an accurate estimate.

Do you offer discounts for students or long-term storage?

Yes, we occasionally have student discount campaigns for long term storage or storage during semesters. A valid student I.D will be required. Please contact us for current promotions.

What security measures do you have in place?

Our Storage Facility has CCTV monitoring, restricted access, an alarm system and on-site staff. We take the security and safely of our customers belongings very seriously.

Do you offer business or bulk storage?

Yes, we provide bulk and business storage for companies, online sellers, package forwarding and individuals. We can store a variety of items such as office equipment, servers, clothes, inventory, and so on.

Do you offer a pick up and delivery service?

Yes, Storage Tokyo provides a fully comprehensive pick up and storage service. Our team can collect your items, store them and then deliver them to the final destination whenever you are ready. We can also store your belongings while you are searching for a new apartment/house.  We have long term and short term storage plans.

Can you pick up my items from my hotel or Airbnb?

Yes, we offer an all inclusive door to door collection, storage and delivery service. Hotels, Airbnb, Airports, Businesses, Shops, Event halls etc are all locations we can collect your items from and store them.

Can you store musical equipments?

Yes, at Storage Tokyo we can store musical equipment such as Amps, Keyboards, Drums, etc. Long and short term plans available and we can deliver the equipment to concert venues, gig halls, studios, etc.

Can you store large items like furniture or motorbikes?

Yes, we can store more than just boxes and suitcases. Furniture, large Kitchen cabinets, Motorbikes, Car Engines, Skis, Surfboards, Camping gear and more can be stored at our facilities. Get in touch with your storage needs and we will be happy to give you a quote.

Do you sell boxes and packing materials?

We can provide for a fee or recommended places to buy packing material.

Do you have a minimum storage period?

There is no storage minimum. You can store your items for 1 day, months or even years.

What form of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, bank transfer, PayPay or Wise. International bank transfer is also acceptable

Can you help me with storage and moving?

Yes, we are able to help with moves and storage. Please contact us for a quote.

Can I visit the storage unit to add more items?

Unfortunately, due to safety precautions, we are unable to allow our customers access to our premises. If you would like to add more items to your storage we are happy to collect them for a fee.

How will my items be stored?

Your items will be stored securely in our facility. Our warehouse is a solid concrete, well insulated, temperature controlled building with security cameras.
